Hosmac host its third Hospital Engineering Summit
Hosmac hosted its third Hospital Engineering Summit on 23 November 2019 at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Hyderabad. It explored challenges and plausible solution for designing and engineering hospitals that offers simple aesthetics, efficiency, flexibility, promotes healing and reduces energy consumption, aimed at bringing down the cost of healthcare delivery.
The day-long event themed Rethinking Hospital Engineering in New-age India was attended by over 100 delegates comprising Hospital CXOs, promoters and industry leaders from architecture, engineering, MEP and management verticals from across the country. A cross-section of experts and game changers from the healthcare industry, particularly in engineering and architecture field, participated as speakers and panelists. Each session was followed by a short question and answer session.
The event started with a key note address on Planning Hospitals for Ayushman Bharat, delivered by Dr. Vivek Desai, Managing Director, Hosmac. Eminent panelists spoke on how to design low-frill hospitals that reduce CapEx, conserving every through facade design, accreditation compliance and its relation with ROI, smart equipment planning, and energy audit’s promise to add to the hospital bottom line. There were also talks on importance of indoor air quality, customising and optimising MEP design and fire safety in healthcare settings. Some of the speakers included prominent names like Dr Anil Gupta, PGI Chandigarh, Mr Arun Mathur, GM- Projects, Narayana Hrudalya, Mr Rajesh Sivan, Group Head- Projects, Asian Healthcare Holdings, Mr Neeraj Lal, Vice President and Cluster Head Rainbow Hospital, Mr Juzer S Kothari, MD, Conserve Consultant, Mr. U K Ananthapadmanabhan, Director , Tenx health Technologies Pvt. Ltd and Mr Partha Kundu, General Manager & Country Head– India & SAARC, American Air Filer (AAF).
Overall, the summit was interactive and a grand success.
